How do I manage reservations and payments? Can I record multiple payments for each reservation?

Yes, you can record multiple payments for each reservation. After you login to manage your site, click "manage reservations", then click a reservation to see a new page. Scroll down and you will see the reservation details where you can record the payments. If you have received the final payment and want to send the check-in instructions to the guest, just select the check box.

Can I require a minimum length of stay?

You can have different minimum nightly stays for each rate period. Login and select a property, then select rates.

Can I set different rates for different nights of the week?

Yes, you could charge $100 per night for a specific rate period and charge $150 a night for Friday and Saturday nights. To do so, login and select a property, then select rates. For each rate period you will need to still enter the default nightly rate (lowest nightly rate during this rate period) and then enter any special nightly rates for each night with the special rate. You can leave the other night fields blank and they will default to the default nightly rate you entered above.

Can I notify my housekeeping service when I confirm a reservation?

Yes! When you confirm a reservation, enter your housekeeping service's e-mail address in the "third-party notification" field. They'll receive the check-in and check-out times.

Can I set different Terms & Conditions for each property?

Yes, you can set terms & conditions for each property. Guests must agree to your terms when they make a reservation. Login and select a property, then select terms & conditions. This is optional and can be left blank. If you do enter the terms & conditions, there will be a check box added to the reservation page saying "I have read and understand the terms & conditions" with a link to the text you enter that the guest can read.

How do I get the best quality property photos on my site?

My VR Site works with just about any image format - jpegs, tiffs or bitmaps work. Your digital camera may allow you to change settings for images- save the highest quality images that you can. Upload the largest, best-quality photos you have and they'll be formatted to work on the site automatically.

How do I set up a Testimonials Page?

Login to manage your site, select update web site, select web site settings. Here you can select to display the testimonials page or not. From the update web site menu, select update testimonials page to enter the testimonials text

How do I customize a template with my own photo?

When you set up your Web site, pick the template you like best and then e-mail us your photo. We'll customize your template.

Does My Vacation Rental Site support Search Engine Optimization? How will people find my Web site?

My VR Site does support search engine optimization. When you log in, click "SEO" in the navigation. You'll be able to modify the page titles on your Web site and the hidden "meta tags" that describe your site to the search engines. We also submit your Web site to Google, Yahoo! and Bing. Finally, each property on your Web site also shows up on the Global Vacation Rental Listings Web site. Visitors to that site can make reservations and you can use My VR Site to accept reservations and payments.

Can I use My Vacation Rental Site to manage reservations I take over the phone or in person?

Yes. Just login to your account and click "Manage All Reservations" at the top of your screen. Then click "Add Reservation" and enter your guest's information.

Can I add other pages to my Web site?

If you have a multi-property Web site, you can add a Testimonials page, a Links page and two other pages, which can be whatever you like. Many of our customers use those page to present their terms of service, more information about the area around their rentals and to promote their property management businesses.
